Buying Wegovy in the UK
Why Wegovy prices sit where they do
Wegovy has been on sale in the UK since 2023, longer than Mounjaro, and 74 pharmacies now list it. The starting dose is the cheapest pen on this site, which is why Wegovy tops many price searches. The gap narrows at 2.4mg, where most people spend most of their time, so the maintenance price is the one to compare.
Supply has been steadier than in 2024, when the 0.25mg and 0.5mg pens ran short. Most pharmacies in the table now hold stock of every dose, and the table shows a dash where one does not.
The 7.2mg question
The 7.2mg dose arrived in 2025 for people who have reached 2.4mg and need more effect. Fewer pharmacies stock it and the price range is wide. It is not a target. The STEP trials ran on 2.4mg and most people stay there. If your prescriber suggests 7.2mg, the dose page lists every pharmacy with a price.
Checks before you pay
Look up the GPhC number, expect a consultation with questions about your history and other medicines, and expect a cool-pack delivery with a stated day. Wegovy pens are a FlexTouch design with a dose counter, and the pharmacy should supply needles with the pen. If needles cost extra, the price in this table includes them where the pharmacy lists them as part of the pen price.
