The Wegovy pill is semaglutide in tablet form. It works like the injection but has to be taken on an empty stomach, first thing, with a small sip of water, and nothing else for 30 minutes. Miss that routine and absorption drops. 58 pharmacies list it, fewer than the injection, and prices are less settled because it is newer.
How the pill price compares with the pen
A monthly pack of the pill at the starting dose is close in price to a starting Wegovy pen, and the maintenance dose of each lands in the same range. The pill suits people who cannot face injections.
